Which Flooring Trim Do You Need?

Door bars, scotia, skirting and wall panel trims · All sold per 2.4m length

Every floor and wall panel job finishes at an edge. This guide explains the trims we stock and where each one is used. All are sold per 2.4m length.

Scotia (quarter round)

Fixed along the bottom of the skirting to cover the expansion gap around the edge of a floor, where the existing skirting stays in place.

80mm skirting

A full skirting board for a clean perimeter where skirting is being replaced. Available in Pale Greige, English Oak and Harbour Oak.

Door bars: reducer, T-moulding and end cap

  • Reducer: Steps a floor down to a lower adjoining floor, for example at a doorway.
  • T-moulding: Joins two floors at the same height, for example between rooms.
  • End cap: Finishes a floor edge against a raised surface such as a door frame, hearth or patio door track.

Finishes for flooring trims

Scotia, reducers, T-mouldings and end caps come in Harbour Oak, English Oak, Fairfield Oak, White Oak, Urban Charcoal and Pale Greige, chosen to coordinate across our LVT and SPC ranges. Ask at the counter which finish suits a particular floor.

Wall panel trims

For SPC wall panels: start trims in Matte Black, and edge, internal-corner and external-corner trims in Matte Black or Matte Silver. These work across the whole wall panel range.
